Marc: looks good to me

Jon: working on new rules

Jon: if people consensus I can go and release the rules 2.0 veRichion

Jon: LandMark Rule Changes

Jon: Can we use 'main' landmark rule as page level rule

Ann: is this for Strict ruleset?

Jon: for transitional too.. but it is recommended on Transitional

Ann: Rich, how do u feel abt it?

Rich: Just for page level?

Jon: one of the problems we see in the last few days with this rule is the numbeRich are inflated

Jon: with this rule. work around with this problem is only the element with landmark will pass or fail

everybody consensus

Rich: If the landmark is there with empty content then it should fail

Jon: Next Rule: Headings must be properly nested in landmarks

Jon: right now the rule is developed in such a way that it only applies to landmarks which has 2 headings in it

Jon: two or more headings

Nick: if we have landmarks in page and some headings are out of landmarks then we evaluate all of the headings for nesting ignoring the landmarks?

Jon: yes.. the landmarks are transparent

Ann: some other rules for IBM

Jon: Rich, what about Application landmark

marcjohlic Sorry - I need to step away from the phone for 5 mins

Rich: i hope it would be deprecated nothing yet decided till 1.1

Ann: Only one contentinfo node in a set of sibling DOM elements is permitted

Ann: Elements having a WAI-ARIA article role must have a label specified with aria-label or aria-labelledby.

Jon: article role will be used for nested discussions

Rich: right

Jon: I did think we need a rule on article role who think that article is a landmark

Jon: if we see a nested article we ignore the rule
