Icon Sizes

This wiki page allows for people to collaborate on what they have observed in various IDE and mashup tools about the dimensions of the icons that they support.

• Google Gadgets
  • 'screenshot': Should be 280 pixels wide. Height should be "natural" height for the gadget.
  • 'thumbnail': should be 120x60 pixels
• Eclipse
  • 16x16 (all I could find)
• Opera Widgets
  • 250x150, 200x300, 400x300
• Windows
  • 16x16, 32x32, 48x48 (and sometimes 24x24), and with Vista 256x256
• Apple OS X
  • 16x16, 32x32, 48x48, 128x128, 256x256, 512x512
• Apple Dashboard icons
  • 75x75
• Dreamweaver
  • Insert bar: 18x18
  • Property inspector: 36x36
