Roughly 60 people and 40 organizations attended the OpenAjax face-to-face meeting on March 22-23, 2007, in New York City. It was a fast-paced meeting covering many subjects, with decisions on several issues. I have created web page contains an executive summary of the meeting. The various slide decks presented at the meeting can be found within the meeting minutes.

Today was a big day for OpenAjax Alliance. I am very happy to announce two new members, Microsoft and Google. Our press release of today includes the Microsoft news. Unfortunately, we became aware of Google after the press release went out.

Beyond the big new members, I am also very pleased, in fact staggered, by the participation level in our first OpenAjax InteropFest. The participating Ajax toolkit developers took the effort to integrate pre-release software into their toolkits and provide detailed feedback about their experiences. The list of toolkits can be found on the InteropFest wiki page and in the press release. Congratulations and thanks to the participating toolkits.

  • Appeon provides globalization consulting solutions.
  • iPolipo and ESRI (giant in GIS) use Ajax to deliver Web 2.0 solutions.
  • Redmonk will help us to think strategically and to get the right message across.
  • Custom Credit Systems develops Web 2.0 applications using the Thinwire toolkit.
  • OpenSymphony is the parent of OpenQA, which provides open source testing technologies that will be increasing important to Ajax developers.

We are glad to have all of these companies helping with OpenAjax. The complete list of Members is currently maintained on our home page ().
